Ariane Loze studied theater direction at the RITS (Brussels) and graduated from the Advanced Performance Training (Antwerpen). During this post-graduate she developed a research project in which she questions the mechanisms of the medium film. The result is a short film series MÔWN (Movies on my own), that was shown as a performance and short films in the Center for Fine Arts (Brussel), Vooruit (Gent) and during the Dansand!-festival (Oostende). Hinterhof is a short film based on the same principle as MÔWN (Movies on my own), realized with the support of the VAF (Flemish Audiovisual Fund) in Berlin.
Vantage Point, created with Elisa Yvelin and Thibault Lac, is a performance that combines dance, performance and video art to explore and question the conventions and rules of spacial perspective in the encounter of these respective media. Ariane Loze also works as a performer for Superamas (Empire, Arts and Politics), Alexander Baervoets (Hortus Conclusus).
